My out of pocket cost? The cost of a new (optional) insurance plan.

When I opened up my lunch, I had a sandwich, and...
Healthy, healthy water and a note from mom and dad. That's love.
Boards are over. Requirements are over. The party begins.

So much fun! The aquarium was really awesome, particularly the Flooded Amazon and the Philippine Reef. The swamp got a downgrade - I think it was bigger at the old location but it may just be that it's now deeper, but not as wide. It didn't seem as impressive.
We didn't get to see the penguins. :(
The rainforest was not as cool as turtle bay. Not enough butterflies, and the ones that were present were pretty mangled. The architechture was amazing though. Glass everywhere, tons of curves, immensely beautiful.
The planetarium. Oh. My. Gosh. I don't get motion sick often, but I actually felt like I was flying. Next time I'll try to keep my eyes open though.
So, so, so much fun.

The best part? I don't really need to pass them, just take them.

"Authentic" Japanese? We were the only ones in the restaurant that weren't speaking Japanese. The people making the food were Japanese as well - very likely a family business.
Service was excellent. Food was delish. It's the beginning of a new love affair~!

Manresa was wonderful. The food was delicious. My favorite was probably the little egg with sherry vinegar, maple syrup, and chives. The service was excellent - which really mans they spoil you by bringing over bread slice by slice in bewteen courses and ask you if you want the heel or the middle. It's not to the point where they watch you eat your food, but they are very attentive.
Happy, happy day.

Picture taking is fun, even if you smell like dog afterwards.
It almost feels like a weekend...except that I have to be at school in the morning.

You can't see the ice cream, but it's there. Yay for brain food.

I had a section for my most favorite people.
So, ten years later, here are my favorite people (in no particular order):
I can't begin to express how lucky I feel that I met Peiti the first week of dental school. She's honest, practical, and just generally awesome.
What would my Friday nights be without Raja? Hardly anything at all. Me and Raja, touristing all of San Francisco's finest foods every friday night.
Ben can be a handful. I dont know how An controls him. ;) He's got so many good ideas, if even 0.025% of them become reality, the world will be so much better off. We need more people like him, who don't take my nay-saying personally, and keep making the world a better place.
Oh, Nancy. Nancy is my best friend from kindergarten. She ran away to Texas, and lived happily ever after, while I pine away for a friend who is willing to paint her nails with me. I miss her lots.
My siblings and I used to go everywhere together. We've grown up some, so that's changed, which sometimes makes me a little sad. When I talk about the family, more often than not, I really mean the siblings.
Sometimes my sister Dee, is way too crazy with the shopping. She can be very thoughtful and sweet, and she's often brutally honest. It's nice to never have to wonder what she's thinking.
So, a little bit of wildness runs in the family. Dougie is not the little brother anymore, but Dee and I still baby him quite a bit. He might even be a little spoiled.
I'm glad I'm friends with Chang again. It's been way overdue, and it's hard to describe how good it is to finally see him happy.
Fred wore green the last time I saw him. No flannel though. He's grown up quite a bit over the years, and I'm impressed.
I stole Marcel from Cynan. They were friends from math classes at SJSU, and eventually they roomed together, and Marcel and I learned to cook together. Well, I learned to cook. Marcel learned to eat whatever I put in front of him.
I met Kym at a Reptile expo in NM my first year out there. What are the chances? Two asian girls, in New Mexico, that like reptiles? Not so many reptiles anymore, but we still keep up. We always have great stories to swap.
If there were such a thing as a soulmate, Monica would be mine. We think alike, she just panics more. I know she'd pick Kuki as a soulmate over me, but I'll pretend I don't know.
Oh, so now you're wondering why Cynan isn't my soulmate? It's because he is a part of my childhood dream, to hook up with a math guy. (It's true!) He's smart, outgoing, funny, and generally treats me like a princess. I'm keeping him.

This Christmas was really great! I saw lots of old friends, and had a blast. Bonus: no family drama.
Double bonus: gifts included tickets to "A Christmas Carol" which was fantastic, fancy camera stuff and Tiffany's with a teensy tinsy diamond. Thanks Cynan , Dee and Dougie.

I feel and smell delicious.

It's been exciting. I've been eating out and poking around and taking lots of pictures. Raja got to be my dentist for a day, and I met up with my bossy guy in clinic and he said I' progressing at the same rate as everyone else. Maybe they won't fail me out after all.
Yesterday I had a ton of fun - Jen and her friday group joined up with us and we had a blast at Golden Gate Pizza, Quickly, and then back to my house for Guitar Hero. Life is good.

Cynan got his new car to replace Itchy. It's a blue Nissan Ultima. No name yet, but I'm sure it will be clever. The coolest part about it is the clicker, which doubles as the key. You don't have to insert it, you just have to be in the car. It has a push-button start.
Also had delicious Malaysian at Layang Layang with Marcel Cynan and Gwen. Still a favorite.
